Institutional Partnerships

The project looks to form partnerships with national and international institutions to exchange ideas and academic resources, and provide technical support to individuals and groups.


University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Through a partnership with the University of Port Harcourt, UNEP will:

• exchange intellectual resources and ideas about environmental management;
• provide partnership support by way of technical information, capacity-building programmes and ongoing assistance;
• share cultural and local knowledge to aid in the smooth running of operations; and
• cooperate to create a detailed repository of information about the region

Oxford University , United Kingdom

UNEP is working with leading academics in the field of carbon neutrality to monitor the project’s carbon output, with a view to reducing the carbon footprint and limiting the mission’s overall impact on the environment. 

Information will be shared with Nigerian institutions.
